Elliott has something to say in his autobiography "one-of-us, The Reluctant Goldwyn". The first part of his book describes his adventures growing up in Orange County, California with affluent and dysfunctional parents who taught him to do as they do and not as they say. Disillusioned when young by his parents divorce and other falsehoods, he left home to experience life on the streets of L.A. to become exactly what his parents were to him - liars and cheats.
After surviving a near fatal motorcycle accident as a young adult, Elliott returned from the "White Light" with the added rigors of how to relearn the most basic details of life, and with the vision and answers to the problems of the world. As Elliott likes to say, "and the struggles ensued."
The second part of the book finds Elliott using his past experiences and new insights to survive the traps of society which we have all experienced. He combines his teachings with his poetic passion for humanity and gives us the answers for which we might not have even known we were searching. Often Elliott can foresee societal and personal traps even before I do. He is able to describe in detail the reason why certain experiences occur, and how to avoid them in the future. His solutions are simple in nature because he says it's the problems that are confusing. He is tired of clichs, lies and the separateness from each other the "games" force us to play. My life has been greatly enhanced by having Elliott in it.
As Elliott has said to me, he's glad when a reader enjoys his life's follies contained within his autobiography, but is delighted beyond belief when the reader grasps his greater message. His greatest fear is being misunderstood.
Elliott's solutions speak of an 'Eden' of sorts, and many people may not be ready to hear his message. Be patient with his book as it jumps and rambles as does his mind, but the truth is in it and will show itself in his love for everyone of us and the world on which we live.
Elliott constantly questions the meaning of life, and in those queries he's found his quintessence. As he says in his book, "Love is all you need, now let me show you how that is true..."
